The expectations for Book-It have changed. Completing and turning in the Book-It calendar is now a required assignment that will be graded…after all, students are already required to read 20-30 minutes daily. The calendar will be proof that students are indeed reading. If students reach the additional Book-It goal of reading a total of 300 or more minutes, they will earn a pizza coupon and another 100 in reading. The calendars must be signed by a parent and should be turned in on or before Tuesday, December 1.
The book report is also a requirement, and will be recorded as a project grade. It is also due on Tuesday, December 1. My expectations for the book report are:

- The book you report on must be a new book at your reading level that you read in November.
- Take pride in what you do…use your best handwriting.
- Use capital letters and punctuation.
- Write at least 5 complete, well-constructed sentences to summarize the book. You are encouraged to write more!
- Do not wait until the last minute to do this assignment!
