I hope you all enjoyed Spring Break as much as I did!
The CRCT will be administered this week...on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We will finish up the testing next week.
My thoughts on the CRCT...
Do not stress out about the testing! Please, please do not put stress on your child--offer encouragement and confidence instead. Good sleep, good breakfast...that's it! I do expect my students to try hard, focus, and persevere, but I will do all I can to make it as painless as I can. I am not allowed to test my own students, but I know they will be in good hands. I will keep you posted!
This will actually be a pretty fun week. No homework, more playtime, more time to do some science. So let's enjoy the week and hope for some pretty spring days so we can get outside as much as possible.
In math on Monday and Friday we will work on measuring mass and volume. In science we will "play" with dirt. I asked students to try to bring a soil sample from their backyard or from their Spring Break location. I forgot to dig up dirt from S.C. so I hope someone remembered. Please have your child bring the sample in a zip-locked bag labeled with their name and the location. I would like to have all samples by Wednesday.
Don't forget...the rocks and minerals webquest is due on Friday.
Thanks so much for your support!
