Yep--it's another testing week. This week your child will take the ITBS, Iowa Test of Basic Skills, an achievement test. There is no way to prepare for the test other than get a good night's sleep and a healthy breakfast.
In addition to testing we will be learning about Frederick Douglass, work on editing our robot stories, and complete Lesson 2 on Pollution and Conservation. We will also begin our big unit on multiplication and division.
In Friday's courier, I sent home information about the science projects which are due on or before November 1. Your child was asked to get your input on choosing the two projects. My suggestion is to choose one that is art related and one that is research related--a creative one and a fact-finding one. I have included the rubric I will use to evaluate the projects.
