What a beautiful weekend!
I'm sorry for not posting last week...my 89 year old mother fell and broke her hip. I went to be with her in Charleston during her surgery. Thankfully she is an independent, strong woman. Her spirit and determination will certainly help her during the long recovery process. I look forward to spending lots of time with her during our Thanksgiving break.
Here is what we are up to this week...
In math we will be concentrating on the 4's multiplication table and relating them to the division facts. While we will be working hard in class, I expect children to really study the multiplication facts at home as well. Please see the math page on this website for lots of fun ways for your child to study the facts. If you do not have internet access, make some flashcards and have your child write the facts as much as possible. If you have a smart phone, look for some apps!
In science we will continue to work on our pollution unit. I will be sending home the project expectations this week so your child will have lots of time to work on it. The project will not be due until later in December.
Great news for my homeroom...we won the spirit night competition once again! Thanks for all your spirit and support--you help make Evansdale a great place to learn!
I know one thing...I am thankful for the honor of teaching your children!
I hope you all enjoy the Thanksgiving break with your friends and families.
