Thank you!
...to Jack for participating in Evansdale's Science Night. He presented his project on insulation! Excellent job! I am sorry I did not have this event on my radar--I would have encouraged my students to participate.
...To Luke and his family for sharing an electric pencil sharpener with our class--the 2nd one they have given us!
...To Emily, her family, and her neighbor who tried to fix our old pencil sharpener. Thank for you ordering us a new one on behalf of the class.
...To the Cultural Arts committee for bringing musicians from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra to share their love love of music with our students.
...To all parents who are working with their children at home to master the multiplication facts!
...To my students who work hard every day!
...to all the students and their families who have and will be taking care of Bella and Muffy on the weekends and holidays!
This is what we are up to this week...
In math we will work on the concepts of perimeter and area. For extra practice go to the following link...
http://www.khanacademy.org/math/geometry/basic-geometry/perimeter_area_tutorial/v/perimeter-and-area-basics
In science we will review the regions of Georgia and the habitats found in our state (Chapter 7). I sent home the next science project expectations last week. The projects are due on February 20.
We have a few classroom needs...hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes. We will need tissue soon.
