I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
This is what we are up to this week:
In math we will continue to work on comparing fractions. We will also measure length to the nearest half and quarter inch. Homework will be review of skills we have worked on this year. Students must continue to drill all math facts, including addition and subtraction.
In science we continue our study of rocks and minerals. Students can now begin the webquest. The link is http://www.zunal.com/webquest.php?w=137658. Students can work on the online activities at home. Some class time will be used to complete the activities if there is no internet access at home. The other parts of the quest will be done with a partner at school. The webquest, including all the activities, the flip book and the rock study should be completed by April 5. This is the first time I have assigned a webquest and I am excited. I created this one last year for one of my gifted endorsement classes. I hope my students enjoy it and learn from doing the activities.
Look to the right of this blog to subscribe to it! I finally figured out how to make that happen. I sure hope it works! Your comments are always welcome...
