Awesome performance at the Black History Program, created and led by Mrs. Pitts and Mrs. Jackson-Lee! I am so proud of my students who participated.
This is what we are up to this week...
In math we continue our study of fractions. We will explore equivalent fractions. Students need to discovery the many names for 1/2 and 1/4. We will be using paper folding and creating our own paper pizzas. Fractions can be difficult for some studnets to understand so please try to help your child see and use fractions at home, especially in the kitchen.
You will notice that the math homework I send home is reviewing skills we have learned this year.
I will be administering a test on the habitiats of Georgia on Thursday. I hope to put some of the science projects in the hall--great work! Next week we will begin our study of rocks and minerals, another exciting unit!
Thanks so much for donating supplies. Thanks to you , we have plenty of tissue and wipes. We could still use more hand sanitizer.
